Celso Piña is a notable Mexican singer, composer and accordionist. In 2002, Piña was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards: “Best Contemporary Tropical Album” and “Best New Artist From the North” as well as for “Best Alternative Artist” by the MTV Latino Awards. He is also know by "El Rebelde del Acordeón”
The event will feature Chicago's own Dos Santos: Anti-Beat Orquesta is a band that rocks the sounds of popular Latin dance genres with psychedelic flare, from Colombian Cumbia to Afro-Caribbean Salsa. Recently voted Chicago's Best Emerging Artist of 2015 by the Deli Magazine's Readers Poll, their gritty and grassroots approach captures the “golden age” of streamlined tight-knit ensembles of the 1970s and 80s that shook sweatbox dance floors with fierce energy all over Latin America.
