SHOW CONCEPT: Graffiti artists love to take pictures. Sometimes the artists alter and tweak the flicks and use them as print. Join FLASH and a group of graffiti artists as they share photographs, prints of Chicago, and other works. TRIXSTER will be signing limited prints of his “Chicago” piece from 1985. Music by Slugs.

ARTIST INVOLVED:

ASECND: Bright young artist with over 10 years under his belt painting. 

BBOYB: Photographer Graphic Designer Created the FLYPAPER Chicago’s only Hip hop newspaper distributed for free. http://chicagoflypaper.com/

Dymes Transient from England: Has been writing for over 14 years. Has come out in both Forgotten City video. Has had numerous pieces in skateboard and graffiti magazinewww.jamesfordcreation.tumblr.com 

Drastic: Old school graffiti artist turned Graific Designer. Has designed countless shirts and flyers for the hip hop community. (Designed the flyer for this show). 

FLASH: A member of one of first graffiti crews in Chicago to start documenting the movement. Moderator of the Chicago Graffiti forums -- the oldest running website on Chicago Graffiti.

Live: Part of the new breed with old school flavor. Documents only real graffiti giving his photography a prospective only by the artist that actually painted the piece. 

Pengo: With many styles under his belt, we can see why he was voted top Chicago Graff artist. 

Rome: Born in Rochester New York. A graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago. Mural work for have been featured in CTA. YMCA, Version and Amtrak.http://www.romewon.com/

Slugs: Member of Chicago Mural Works has worked in many art projects around the city including the firemen mural on Addison and Lincoln. and is a popular Dj in the underground scene. 

Tsel Chicago: most respected Chicago Graffiti artist. Long time historian sharing his stories and skills with children. Attend Columbia College and mixes Aztec art in his art work. Has shown work at the Mexican Fine arts museum. 

Trixster: Known as Chicago’s king of style with over 20 years of accomplished work in the community and with children. Works now developing web sites for other artist.
