The state superintendent of public instruction is in hot water with the Latino community over a comment he made.
Tom Horne implied Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, who were close
allies when the late labor rights leader founded the United Farm Workers of America (UFW) were romantically involved.
Horne made the comment last week when he testified before a House
committee on a bill that would outlaw ethnic studies in public schools.
