Latino perceptions turned upside down

Dr. David Hayes-Bautista set out to show that the growing Latino population, whose increase is mostly because of higher birth rates, plays a key role in balancing retiring baby boomers Tuesday evening during a University of the Pacific public forum. "Latino babies are going to grow up and pay (Social Security) for these baby boomers," Hayes-Bautista said. "I see this is one of the best things that happened, ... so we need to invest in it."
