Our mission at Maya Entertainment has continually been to provide a unique platform for independent film, with a particular focus on culturally diverse cinema. This year, Maya Entertainment furthers its mission by presenting the third annual, nationally branded, Maya Indie Film Series.
With the overwhelming success of our inaugural film series in the summer of 2009, and the second run in 2010, we at Maya felt driven to continue our efforts toward nurturing and supporting this special sector of the film market. As such, the 2011 Maya Indie Film Series is now poised to kick start the trajectory of an entirely new selection of films and filmmakers.
Featuring an international roster of emerging indie visionaries, the series will premiere seven diverse movies throughout an eight-city theatrical tour. This cinema showcase will afford film enthusiasts, and newcomers alike, a chance to experience true independent cinema in a groundbreaking setting.
