MSU works to increase Hispanic neuroscientists

Michigan State University has received a $1.5 million federal grant to work with the University of Puerto Rico-Cayey to increase the number of Hispanic doctoral students in neuroscience. The grant comes from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, part of the National Institutes of Health. It builds on an existing partnership between the Michigan and Puerto Rican universities. Undergraduate students from the University of Puerto Rico will visit Michigan State for two summers.
