LA Times article ousts Latinas

The Los Angeles Times is one of the most widely read and respected publications in the west coast, serving the second largest city in the nation, and the largest Latino population. In a recent article, the Times focused on inappropriate expenditures and claims made by two prominent Latinas serving the Schwarzenegger administration. The attention and public heat that article created resulted in both Latinas resigning their posts and perhaps ruining their careers. In years past, The Times has published great stories about Latinos going from rags to riches, fighting a world of gangs and crime, and even highlighting achievements by Latinos in the areas of education and sports. So why did The Times opt to pursue two Latinas, in what was obviously not a scandalous issue involving travel reimbursement claims? READ FULL ARTICLE
